The Little Things
/We've stepped up our game to make something with a little more meat! In conjunction with Late Night at the Plaza, we are in the works of making a horror/comedy short film about the day in the life of a serial killer. We follow Sam as she does what she does best and even get a little insight as to why and how.
We met our lead actress Sally Cacic through Late Night at the Plaza and had a great shoot this past weekend with her and some other amazingly talented people: Katie Sullivan, Laura Allen, and Kyle Lovstrom. We look forward to gathering more of our cast and crew and pushing forward to get this out to the world! Stay tuned!
SALLY CACIC
Sally Ruth Cacic (born 03 December 1985) is an Australian actress of mixed Croatian and Irish descent, whose family emigrated to Australia from Yugoslavia during the 1970's. Cacic is best known for her roles as "Casey" in the 2014 Calgary Underground Film Festival (CUFF) film candidate "Crossroads," Sarah in independent horror film "Dead End," premiered during the 2014 Calgary Horror Convention, Mary in "Within" (pre-production) and Sarah in "Blot" (pre-production).
Born in Western Australia, Cacic and her family lived in small rural Australia before relocating to Perth, Western Australia, with her parents and two younger siblings when she was twelve. Great niece of world renowned Australian bass-baritone opera singer Bruce Martin, Australian singer and actress Patricia Pritchard-Bona and Australian music composer and pianist Kim Martin, Cacic was exposed to performing arts and music from a very young age. Her first exposure to film acting was in 1988 at just three years of age, when she was chosen to appear in a furniture store commercial aired on state-wide TV. Following training in classical ballet and jazz piano during her childhood years, she later appeared in the Perth stage production of "A Chorus Line" as a chorus dancer, when the show toured Australia in 2002.
Cacic relocated to Canada in early 2011. Here she attended West-Canada based acting school "Company of Rogues," where she was trained in the teachings and interpretations of Constantine Stanislavski, Sanford Meisner and Uta Hagan, under the direction and mentor-ship of School Director and American-born actor Joe Norman-Shaw. Cacic also underwent vocal training in accent coaching with award winning dialect coach and actor David LeReaney. While still completing her training at "Company of Rogues," she won the role in "Crossroads" and "Dead End."
Cacic has also appeared on Calgary-local show "Late Night at the Plaza," in 2014 and 2015. She appeared as the first guest of the show during their pilot episode in 2014 and was interviewed by host Logan Cameron and co-host Kyle Lovstrom on the iTunes release of alternative rock song "How It Feels To Be Running Out Of Time," a collaboration she performed with band "AF Satori." Cacic guest starred again in 2015, this time performing as an actress during the live show on episode 2 of the second season, and is set to star in upcoming films "Within" and "Blot," due to be released at the end of 2015. Cacic resides in Canada and is an active member of the Calgary film community.
